Cherry offers the popular and widely used MX switch technology for the mechanical keyboard market. Cherry MX switches and Cherry MX RGB switches are available in several variants, the three main ones being Cherry MX Red, Blue, and Brown. They provide linear, clicky, and tactile feedback one after the other.

Two Types of Cherry Switches Compared

The Cherry MX RGB switches have a transparent housing for RGB compatibility, which is SMD LED compatible. While the regular Cherry MX switch has a deep black body and the keyboard's backlight can't shine through.
