The Oil King switch is the latest linear switch in the Gateron family. With a housing upper made of nylon PA66, a case back made of secret black ink housing material and a shift carriage made of POM plastic. The shaft in the upper case is extremely stable and almost wobble-free. Compared to the Gateron CJs, it has a deeper patch sound.
The gold contact improves oxidation resistance and protects the switch from corrosion. It guarantees a service life of up to 60 million cycles.
The Oil King switch is equipped with a 20 mm long, black-coated spring. This requires 55 g of actuation force to press the button, 80g is required for the switch to move all the way down. This gives a unique and super easy typing experience.
The switch is already pre-lubricated to increase the smoothness of the switch and avoid unnecessary friction and problems.
