Following the successful launch of the Kangaroo Box-Ink switch, Gateron welcomes another new member, the "Baby Kangaroo Switch", to the family of tactile switches. It features an extremely transparent cover with capacitor light affection, a white nylon PA66 base and a light green POM shift carriage with high durability, resistance and smoothness to provide a clear tactile feel. Unlike traditional tactile switches, the Baby Kangaroo switch has a peak tactile value of 0.5mm to provide a larger tactile drop for a clearer haptic feel. The Baby Kangaroo Switch is equipped with a vertical contact blade, which is superior to the horizontal material contact blades available on the market. The gold contact improves the antioxidant performance and protects the key switch from corrosion, guaranteeing a service life of about 60 million cycles.
This switch is equipped with a 22 mm long, two-stage, gold-plated spring made of SUS304 stainless steel with high durability, which makes the rebound stiff and firm. The spring force tolerance is limited in such a way that the consistency of the feel is improved. The surface is gold-plated to maintain oxidation and corrosion resistance.
Gateron's automated self-lubrication technology has been continuously optimized over the past three years to address previous adjustment deficiencies. The CNC has fine-tuned the oil injection quantity to just 0.1 s within 0.001 g to not only guarantee the performance of mass production, but also to create a crisper feel.
