The Gateron Silent Switch is one of the most popular silent switches for mechanical keyboards. It has a transparent cover and a milky white as a housing base, which gives a particularly gentle, calm and natural feeling. As the name suggests, the noise level is significantly lower with a silent switch. It's perfect for noise-restricted places like offices and for gamers who don't want to disturb others at night.
Unlike a regular profile switch, the Gateron Silent Switch is equipped with a padded damping pad on the top and bottom of the shift carriage to reduce noise when using the key switches.
The Gateron Silent Switches are available as both tactile and linear switches. As for the colors, they come in black, red, brown, white and yellow.
Gateron's silent Gateron Silent Switches are 5-pin PCB mount switches that can be soldered directly onto a 5-pin compatible PCB and do not require a board.
