The MonsGeek M1 V5 VIA is a mechanical keyboard with an innovative design, high customizability, VIA support, and long battery life.
Instead of screws, the M1 V5 uses a ball lock, which allows for quick and tool-free housing opening. Stability can be further increased by adjusting the screws.
With the powerful 8000mAh battery, the keyboard can be used for an extra long time without having to be constantly charged. It lasts up to 86 hours with RGB lighting on, while it achieves an impressive runtime of up to 500 hours without lighting. These values are based on internal testing by MonsGeek Labs, but actual runtime may vary depending on usage.
The M1 V5 offers 15 preset RGB modes and allows you to customise colours, brightness and effects via VIA software. Thanks to the Akko V3 Piano Pro Switch with LED diffuser, the RGB colors shine 30% brighter.
With full VIA support, the keyboard can be customized directly in the browser or via the VIA app without any additional software. Each key can be freely assigned, functions can be reassigned and macros can be created. The RGB lighting can also be adjusted in detail, so that colors, effects and brightness can be designed according to one's own preferences.
The keyboard uses a Gasket mount construction with silicone or neoprene cushioning. This provides a softer, quieter and more comfortable typing experience.
The south-facing board prevents compatibility issues with Cherry profile keycaps. Thanks to the 5-pin hot-swap function, switches can be easily replaced.
Based on user feedback, the M1 V5 features a new rotary encoder with a revised design that avoids scratches on the case.
The Black & Silver model comes with ISO-DE, ISO-Nordic and ISO-UK keycaps, making it easy to customize the keyboard.
The built-in PORON foam plate reduces key noise and ensures a pleasant and clean sound.
