The Keychron S1 combines the flat keys and small footprint of the Keychron K series with the premium quality of the high-end Q series. As a result, you get an all-metal body and a 1,000Hz polling rate in an ultra-slim overall package. The S1 is the first mechanical low-profile keyboard in a 75% layout (in other words, there is no numeric keypad and the arrow keys are integrated into the main keypad of keys) with countless possibilities for customizing. With its ultra-slim, CNC-machined aluminum body, QMK/VIA support, and low-profile double-shot PBT keycaps, the S1 offers a high-quality typing experience, a unique design, and endless customization options.

Ultra-slim aluminum base housing

It is noteworthy that such a slim keyboard is made from a solid piece of aluminum. The entire body of the keyboard is CNC machined, polished, anodized, sandblasted and goes through 24 more manufacturing steps to make the S1 slim, elegant and stable. The S1 is aimed at those who like to type flat but don't want to move their keyboard back and forth between different desks, because the massive part weighs almost a kilogram.

Low-profile keyboard for customizing programming with QMK & VIA

To build a customizable low-profile keyboard, Keychron designed all the parts to be easy to assemble. Therefore, you can customize and adjust each component as you wish. Thanks to full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program each key on the keyboard and assign a new function. The open-source firmware offers endless possibilities.

High-performance inner workings

A very low-power Arm Cortex-M4 32-bit STM32L432 MCU that is powerful and equipped with 128K flash provides more flexibility for developers. Gamers are also taken care of, the polling rate is 1000 Hz by default, which means that there is no delay in competitive play.

Low Profile Double-Shot PBT Keycaps

A new low-profile double-shot PBT keycap set has been developed for the S1. The PBT keycaps offer excellent oil resistance, improve typing feel and prevent the labels from fading.

Switch layouts between macOS and Windows

The Keychron S1 is designed with the experience of Mac users in mind, without neglecting compatibility with Windows devices. It has a system switch and an additional set of customizable keycaps for Windows and macOS systems.

22 RGB lighting effects and hot-swappable

With up to 22 RGB lighting effects, you can choose the lighting that suits your personal mood. In addition, you can easily fine-tune the RGB hue, saturation, brightness, and speed of the effect. The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the board, so you can install or replace the switches without soldering.
